mold remediation

mold is toxic.

Your home should be a safe environment for you and your family but mold growth can create a toxic problem! Mold can cause odors, allergic reactions, and breathing problems, at the very minimum, and more serious complications in those with underlying health conditions.

Mold should always be addressed immediately!

inspection and testing

If you can see visible mold, testing may not be necessary to determine if there is a mold problem. However, you may not always be able to see the issue.

If you have had recent water damage, or notice a smell but don’t see anything obvious, testing for mold may be a wise first step.

At Greenlight Restoration Solutions, we offer a full assessment of your home. We look for signs of water damage and have specialized tools such as moisture meters and infrared cameras to check for water damage in less apparent places, such as behind walls. If necessary, we may take samples to be tested at a third-party lab. We provide you with a copy of the lab results and a written inspection report so that you can understand what, if any, mold issues your home has.

If your home does have mold problems, we create a protocol in order to resolve the issue.

Removal and Remediation

Every indoor environment has low levels of mold, but visible mold growth or high airborne spore levels is a problem. We provide professional, safe mold removal and remediation following safe practices including:

  • Containment – We contain the work area to prevent mold spores from spreading to unaffected areas.
  • HEPA Air Scrubbing – We use commercial-grade air scrubbing machines with HEPA filters to capture microscopic mold spores. This helps improve air quality and prevent spore from circulating to other rooms.
  • Selective Demolition – We carefully remove affected building materials in a carefully controlled way to prevent spreading or stirring up mold spores.
  • HEPA Vacuum – We vacuum the affected area using HEPA filters to capture spores.
  • Antimicrobial Cleaning – We clean the contaminated areas with antimicrobial agents to kill mold growth and help prevent it from coming back.
